About the painting:
When the pandemic locked down so many of us in the summer of 2020, my husband and I went on a road trip to a remote area in northern Alabama. We rented a small house on a bluff in a deserted community overlooking the TN River. We walked quiet trails, read, had sunset drinks overlooking the water and took a few drives to explore nearby parks. It was at one of them that we came upon this sparkling waterfall. There was no one else there and it felt like we'd been given a gift. Our escape was actually a profound reminder to appreciate life's surprises and to let them be the impetus for hope.
