Dianna Anderson
Dianna is energized by capturing the essence of light en plein air with oils expressing subtle color shifts creating interpretations of those ethereal moments.
MessageI painted 'Ocean Spray,' in plein air painting from Marginal Way in Ogunquit, Maine. This walkway offers grand views of Maine's iconic rocky coast to anyone willing to go. Only hours before, I had decided not to go out because it was too cold and windy. Once the heat of the day arrived, I changed my mind and packed up my gear. Upon arriving, I could see the wind had enticed many surfers to ride the waves. "I also knew it would not be very long before the weather would motivate me to pack up. So for the sake of time, I choose to paint one small area of the scene. Even though I fought wind the entire time, I found the challenge to paint a moving sea exciting!
