Peak Season

It had been a beautiful Autumn in the Northeast and today was a warm mid-October day which encouraged me to go painting with a group of friends. Behind Fisherman's Catch in Wells, Maine, I discovered this lovely spot with a fairly symmetrical composition and in full Autumn color. Every year I think the colors of the current fall season is the best ever! In my painting 'Peak Season' 12x16 oil on linen, I painted the tree's reflection as brighter than the trees even though in nature they are not.
