Dianna Anderson
Dianna is energized by capturing the essence of light en plein air with oils expressing subtle color shifts creating interpretations of those ethereal moments.
MessageLike the last few days in Naples, Florida, today would be another unseasonably hot day. Regardless of the expected heat, I wanted to paint the majestic tree in Roger's Park on the corner of Broad Avenue and Third Street South. In order to stay under the shaded canopy of the
giant banyan, I kept moving my easel into the shadow patterns the tree cast on the ground as the sun moved across the sky. In my painting 'Old Naples Banyan,' I wanted to convey a sense of the sub-tropical golden hour light at sunset in February.
