Dianna Anderson
Dianna is energized by capturing the essence of light en plein air with oils expressing subtle color shifts creating interpretations of those ethereal moments.
MessageI began painting Red Sand Beach on location while the rest of my family explored around this hidden, private area. Red sand is not a common occurrence in Maine and I was delighted to discover such a place. The best vantage point I found was high up on a flat section of a boulder. So I climbed up with my gear and got to work painting the view looking down on the scene. The pristine empty beach with its unusual color and my plan to express a feeling of the day was my inspiration.
