KINGDOM BENEATH THE BLUE (120 × 120 cm) emerged from a transformation. I started with a vertical format, but during the process I felt the need to reshape it - unstretching, cutting, and reworking it into a square. That shift brought clarity and focus.
I painted entirely with my hands, without brushes. It’s a physical, intuitive way of working that creates a direct connection to the canvas. The deep blue tones, layered with sweeping gestures and dark marks, began to resemble underwater landscapes. One mark looked like a trident, and suddenly I saw Atlantis, lost kingdoms, and the quiet force of what lies beneath.
The surface is smooth, with subtle movement and rhythm. For me, this piece is about depth, not just visual, but emotional.
For collectors, galleries, and interior designers looking for large abstract paintings, blue-toned monochcrome contemporary art, or statement pieces with atmosphere and presence, this work offers a bold, immersive experience. Painted in acrylic mixed media on raw canvas, it brings energy, elegance, and a sense of story to any space.
In the pics you can see both versions: first the taped-off landscape format, then the final square composition.
As with my previous works, the creative process of painting solely with my hands was something truly special and deeply satisfying. The direct connection with the emerging piece, the traces left by fingers and gestures, feels like a very sensitive dialogue at the moment. This work is again monochromatic, with the focus placed entirely on the details, the lines, the marks.
