Gouache. Not for sale.

I have always had a very close connection with the outdoors, and all wildlife, feeling the most comfortable surrounded by nature.

I have a great respect the animals I am surrounded with in rural Oregon and feel that it is I who am infringing into their territory. This artwork was the result of my friend cleaning her pool for the summer and finding hundreds of tadpoles in it. She brought them over to my ponds, where I watched them grow into little tree frogs. I found this tree frog sitting on my pumphouse door and knew I had to paint the picture. I was so happy that I could help them on their journey, and that their lives would go on. This painting represents the sharing of our mutual environment and the consideration we should have for all of nature around us.
