Cast Bronze lost wax with chased copper wings, walnut base

Moths can inspire imagination beyond the awe of fascination. Millions of soft scales cover their wings to blend colors as subtle as butterflies. A large rare geometric black and white moth larger than a tiger swallowtail butterfly let me see it bathing in the shade. It was a gift to find it and snap a photo on a moon mountain trail. It and others brought “Moth Man,” a recent sculpture I cast in bronze, to life.
