I wanted to capture the vibrance of advertisement and liminal spaces that I find fascinating. Everything is dispensable and not special; it all floats into the waterways and pollutes our world and it's somehow normal. This situation is dark and yet the imagery can still be eye-pleasing and oddly humorous.

For this series of paintings, I create headpieces for my models to wear out of collected and found objects (yes, that means this headpiece did at one point physically exist!). I do an underpainting very quickly and then spend months refining through layers of oils.
