Though it was still too early for a wildflower meadow view that I had hoped for, I was greeted by early blooming avalanche lilies near the last patch of snow. With a picturesque patrol cabin nestled below, and sailors' delight pink clouds spanning the sky, Mount Rainier looked ever so gracious.
