A montage of two pictures of water bubbling over a domed sink plug that I used as the basis of what became the Aqua Metallica series. Here some complex masking and layering brings a slightly sinister, architectural feel in deep blue, black and burnt orange.

This picture is an abstraction away from something simple and mundane - water bubbling in a sink over metal - that was fleetingly beautiful and became the basis for the 'Aqua Metallica' series of montages. Here there is, I think something of the scientific gaze as if trying to frame and make sense of the now impossible to recognise elements. A struggle to make sense?
