The Robert & Margaret Carolla Arts Exhibition Center at Missouri State University invites artists to submit work for Under the Current, a regional exhibition of contemporary craft taking place February 1 – March 5, 2027. Under the Current is a juried exhibition serving as a platform for artists from across the Midwest whose work reflects the currents shaping the present moment. The exhibition seeks artworks from artists that explore personal experiences, shared concerns, and broader social and cultural conditions. The goal is to showcase a range of viewpoints and responses that reveal how making can become a way to observe, question, and engage with the world.
