The Trinity Buoy Wharf Working Drawing Award aims to celebrate and promote of the role of drawing within design and making processes.

This special category for Working Drawings is intended to celebrate the role of drawing in design processes, and to expand and enhance our knowledge and understanding of working drawings – drawings from which something can or will be made. It is anticipated that architects, designers, planners, scientists, engineers will submit drawings.

The Trinity Buoy Wharf Working Drawing Award 2022 has a dedicated online entry process and expert selection panel, and will form a special display within the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2022 exhibition.

Working drawings are understood to be:

- Drawings from which something can be made
- Drawings that illustrate or explain an idea as part of a process towards production
- Drawings that facilitate working through the development of an idea
- Drawings that form an instruction to a maker in any area that drawings are used in this way.

We anticipate receiving submissions of notational or planning drawings, drawings that relate to ideation, sketches, detail drawings, assembly drawings, and other working drawings that represent ideation, designs, planning, and communication to others for this discrete display within the annual Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2022 exhibition.

Prize fund £2000.
