Pasadena Photography Arts (PPA) is so excited to launch The PPA Photo Award: A Celebration of Visual Storytelling!

For this award, PPA seeks narrative projects that form a cohesive body of work. Narrative photography is based on the idea that photographs can tell a story, whether through elements in the images themselves, the sequencing and juxtaposition of images, or where images of discrete moments come together to convey greater meaning. The award goes to those projects that best express the process of conveying emotion or events from a series of images. Examples include, but are by no means limited to, personal stories, family or community histories, world news, the arc of time, or some other connected group or series of events, perhaps playing with truth vs fiction, or the creative interpretation of a time and place or activity.

The jury panel will be composed of Pasadena Photography Arts Advisors alongside guest juror Ibarionex Perello for the final round decision.
