Pasadena Photography Arts invites submissions for the 2025 PPA Photo Award: Excellence in Contemporary Photography (Open Theme). This award celebrates emerging and professional U.S.-based photographers showcasing excellence in contemporary photography. The winning photographer will receive a $2,000 cash prize, a published interview on their website, a feature on Lenscratch.com, and a virtual hosted artist talk.

This year's jury features PPA Advisors and guest juror Eve Schillo, Associate Curator at LACMA. Entries will be evaluated on creativity, originality, quality, and relevance.

Submit cohesive bodies of 10–20 images with statements by April 7, 2025. Accepted formats include analogue, digital, mixed-media, street, conceptual, and more. AI-generated images are not allowed, though AI as an editing tool is permissible.
