Spend 1–3 months living and creating on an eight-acre lava surrounded landscape overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Pohoiki, HI (Big Island). This self-directed residency offers solitude balanced with personalized mentorship, studio support, and opportunities to engage with the local creative community.
Artists are encouraged to experiment, take creative risks, develop a new body of work, and conclude their residency with a solo exhibition in the on-site Pohoiki Gallery. Includes private, off-grid luxury accommodations at Lava Coast Oasis. Residents are encouraged to explore the landscape as part of their creative process.
Artists are responsible for:
