PROSPECTUS
Aptitude will be an open-themed, contemporary and fine art exhibition at thegallery8680, located in Frisco, Texas. The exhibition will run from July 1 - July 31, 2020. Opening reception to be held on Friday, July 3, 2020, from 7 - 9 PM.

ELIGIBLE MEDIA
Accepting all contemporary and fine art submissions. Submissions are open internationally. All work must have been completed within the years 2015-2020 and not previously exhibited at any Envision Arts Exhibition. Eligible media include, but are not limited to: drawing, painting, photography, mixed media, oil/chalk pastels, block/ink print, hanging sculpture or assemblage, digital art, collage, metal work, hanging fiber/textile art, wood work and contemporary craft. NUMBER OF ENTRIES + APPLICATION FEE
Each artist is limited to five (5) images per submission. There is a $25 (USD) non-refundable/non-transferable fee, for up to five (5) images. Payments must be submitted online at the time of application. Deadline to submit work is June 15, 2020 at 11:59 PM.
SIZE LIMITATIONS
All work must be ready for installation/ready to hang. All canvas and/or framed works MUST be wired to hang, with D-rings; no saw tooth hangers. Submissions are restricted to a weight limit of no more than 25 pounds. Works cannot exceed 36 inches in any direction (including frame). Envision Arts reserves the right to exclude any entry that presents complex/overly complicated installation or assembly problems.
ARTIST NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE
Accepted artists will be notified no later than June 17, 2020 via their provided email. (National and international artists may be notified early based on shipping requirements).
SALES
All sales will be completed via an Envision Arts director/staff member via our transactions portals. A commission of 30% will be retained of artist original sales. All accepted works must be available for sale.
AWARDS
Best in Show: Envisions Arts will announce one Best In Show for the exhibition. Winner will receive a ribbon, a four page image spread in our luxury print arts and literary publication, Envisions Arts Magazine.
Honorable Mention: Envisions Arts will announce between one and three honorable mentions in varying categories. Winners will receive a ribbon.
JUROR / CO-JURORS
Envisions Arts Founder / Director, and Dallas-based artist, Ginger Cochran has curated and/or served as a juror, for numerous group or collective exhibitions throughout north and south Texas, as well as Los Angeles, California; Phoenix, Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada. She is director and curator for Armadillo Art Gallery in Denton Texas.
Envision Arts Assistant Director, Frisco-based artist, and recent MBA grad, Reanna DiPaolo has served as collaborator and co-juror for numerous art exhibitions and projects throughout north Texas. Her work has been published and displayed throughout north Texas.
Guest Juror for our awards will be thegallery8680 director, Robyn Parker Feehan. Robyn Parker Feehan has carried a vision for the artists to continually exhibit their work at thegallery8680, creating annual, themed exhibitions that challenge the artist.
DELIVERY OF WORK
All art must be delivered to the gallery space on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at 2 PM.
***Shipping instructions will also be sent to accepted artists. Any work shipped by an artist to the gallery MUST arrive no later than June 30th, and MUST include a paid return shipping label. If no return shipping label is provided, the artist will be charged for shipping.
Artists are responsible for the delivery of all work to the gallery. No packaging material can be stored by the gallery and artists will be required to take packaging with them after drop off. Artists are responsible for all delivery or shipping charges to and from the exhibition or art drop site upon selection by the curator. Artists are responsible for their own expenses accrued for travel/lodging or shipment of their art. Accepted works must be delivered or shipped according to the instructions provided by Envision Arts. Entries will not be insured by Envision Arts while in its custody and artists will sign a waiver upon delivery of their work. Envision Arts will not be held responsible for lost, damaged or stolen property. No work may be withdrawn before the close of the exhibition. Sending an entry or work to the art drop off location and/or the exhibition shall imply an agreement on the part of the sender to all conditions above.
RETURN OF WORK
All local art work must be retrieved from the gallery on Friday, July 31, 2020; no exceptions. Time frame TBA. No art work or property may be stored at the gallery after the conclusion of the exhibit. Envision Arts will not be held responsible for and will not store any art work or property left at the gallery.
PUBLICITY
The exhibition will be publicized locally, regionally and nationally via our social media platforms, email, and press release. Envision Arts reserves the right to use photographs and/or digital images of any submitted work for the purpose of publicity for either the exhibit, gallery or artist.
