Spanish Inscription: “El 26 del (ilegible) 1891 Hallandose en esta ciudad Da soledad (ilegible) le acaecio una fuerte (ilegible) de fiebre encontrandose sin alivio de salud: su Esposo con veras de su corazón invoco al (?) del Sr. del Sacromonte y se venera (ilegible) de San Juan del Rio pidiendo el alivio si le combenia darle y abiendole concedido el Sr esta milagrosa maravilla a los cuatro dias le volvío la salud y camina hasta llegár á su tierra enteramente buena. Y en reberncia de esta maravilla le pone este retablo dando gracias al Eterno Padre. Por tantas milagrosas Maravillas que dia con dia obra el señor en fabor de sus fieles a los que cree verdaderamente en la fé de Jesucristo.”
English Translation: “The 26th of (illegible) 1891. finding herself in this city, Doña Soledad (illegible) was struck with a strong fever, finding herself without relief of health: her husband with the truth of his heart invoked the Señor del Sacromonte and venerates (?) of San Juan del Rio asking for relief if he could manage it and having granted it to her, the Señor, this miraculous wonder after four days, her health returned and she walked until she arrived home perfectly fine. And in reverence of this wonder, she gives this retablo giving thanks to the Eternal Father. For so many miraculous wonders that day by day, the Señor, acts in favor of his faithful who truly believe in the faith of Jesucristo.”
