A group of artists paints in and around Stowe Vermont for the month of June every year. It started long ago when some of them were students of Frank Mason. After Frank's death they continued the tradition to this day with artists coming from as far away as Florida and Ohio. The group now includes some locals, such as myself, who paint with them from time to time. On this night it was a perfect night to paint the iconic Stowe Community Church (one of the oldest non-denominational churches in the country) from the back. Warm breeze, nice light, and iconic imagery. Add some artist friends and you get a nice evening with a nice little painting as a reward.
