This Autumn Pond, which is located in Belvidere Vermont, has wonderful access and yet is relatively unknown outside of local area residents. I first discovered it this year and immediately knew I had to paint it. This little 8 x 10 painting captures a small corner of the pond right about at the peak of foliage season. Balancing all the bright colors of autumn was the most challenging aspect of painting this beautiful scene.
