“Patriarchal Ancestors - It's Father” is part of the “One Life” series, which are artworks utilizing historical imagery in themes of family life, childhood and self reflection. I used transfer techniques, pen and pencil adapting and altering images of myself and of my father.This line of my heritage is German and French. The patriarchal lineage produced male relatives who were merchants and craft makers. They were mostly soft spoke, strict and sometimes athletic. This piece is a compilation of historical images of my father inspired by his death in 2016.
