The “Evolution” series, is based in the "Portrait of a Woman" project. The sculptural photographs add delightful 3-dimensional quality using brushed metal and stained wood. The pieces in the series are hand built using metal, wood and digital image. Brushing the metal gives a unique look to the metal works that weather over time. "Evolution" series are created by my own hand and gathered as a group in the later part of 2019.
The "Portrait of a Woman" project started in 2016 and continues with digital, 2-D, 3-D and video artworks.
Additions or commissioned pieces in this series will be priced accordingly.
Each metal piece is unique and has its own metal changing reaction.
Additionally pieces are signed with an authentication attachment. See additional photos.

Fantasy Creatures - Mythic Animal
Susan Detroy's affinity for the biological and botanical is channeled into primitive and brightly colored ink paintings. The “Mythic Animals” contain Susan’s humor, compassion and strength. They are child-like in process, forming with little judgment of self or of end result. Like all of Susan’s artwork the images represent a connection to a deep interior self. In the “Mythic Animals” the self is ancient with knowledge of primordial symbols, drawing in an ageless manner and always connecting with nature’s animal spirit. Artwork created in response to health crisis in 1996 and continued through 2011. The collection includes originals and prints of creatures.

As well they have weaknesses. Each sister is a collaboration in characteristics-earthly and technological.
