The vibration of the reds and greens totally inspired this rendering of a tree in our neighborhood. I started out with a warm brunaille underpainting and while it dried, I mixed all the reds that I saw in that tree, trying to keep the colors as rich and vibrant as I could without it being so chromatic that it looked like a crayon. The light hit perfectly on the right, enabling me to capture the glow within the green of the tree inside!
I love this time of the year when the weather starts to cool off enough to allow for more plein air work before winter sets in.
