Message
Sherry Mason is a contemporary realist painter whose work is rooted in plein air observation and refined in the studio. Self-taught and classically driven, she studies directly from life to capture light, atmosphere, and the emotional resonance of place, translating those studies into finished works that balance immediacy with careful composition.
Her work has earned international recognition, including being named a Finalist in the 2025 Art Renewal Center Salon, a Semi-Finalist in the 2025 Almenara Art Prize, and a Top 100 Finalist in Plein Air Magazine’s April 2025 Plein Air Salon.
Mason’s paintings invite viewers into moments of quiet reflection—roads leading home, rivers in motion, and fleeting light across familiar landscapes—offering both a sense of presence and timelessness. She lives and works in North Carolina.
