My interdisciplinary practice investigates the social and linguistic constructs that shape identity, history, and collective memory in the United States.
MessageThis work begins with a simple surface for labor and reflection. Over time, it becomes a record of attention, built through years of reading, notes, and ideas.
“On the ground” refers both to its physical placement and to a deeper question: what everything rests upon.
The work remains with this question unresolved, staying at the edge between what is known and what cannot be known. It does not seek to conquer mystery, but to dwell within it.
It reflects a trust that life is larger than what can be perceived, shaped as much by the unconscious as by conscious intent. There is a center that holds, and the work turns toward it.
