My interdisciplinary practice investigates the social and linguistic constructs that shape identity, history, and collective memory in the United States.
MessageA toy soldier raises a plastic skeleton overhead like a ritual offering. The circular backdrop reads as both halo and target, sanctifying violence while framing war and heroism as forms that can be rehearsed, replayed, and consumed—reduced to objects, games, and symbols rather than lived reality.
Referencing Donald Trump’s statement that a war ends “when I feel it in my bones,” the work reflects a logic in which decisions about war are no longer measured but felt, where emotion replaces evidence, and consequence becomes impression.
