My interdisciplinary practice investigates the social and linguistic constructs that shape identity, history, and collective memory in the United States.
MessageA dense mass of miniature figures is trapped behind glass, compressed into a silent archive of bodies. The central window resembles a holding cell, bordered by the sterile authority of aesthetics. A printed message echoes official advisories urging Americans to “depart now” while warning against relying on government evacuation efforts.
Situated at the outset of the 2026 U.S.–Iran war, the work reflects a moment of escalating conflict, disrupted evacuations, and uncertainty. Here, abandonment becomes legible as policy, while containment and bureaucratic distance emerge as forms of violence.
