My art practice challenges social and linguistic constructs in the United States through precisely crafted artworks organized into collections.
MessageThe artwork reframes Hegseth’s post by presenting a children ’s-book-styled image of Franklin firing an RPG from a helicopter, exposing the absurdity of pairing childhood innocence with state violence. The floral framing amplifies the dissonance, turning a flippant social-media moment into a critique of how militarism is softened through nostalgia, making aggression appear harmless—even playful. Ultimately, the artwork exposes the surreal theater of contemporary political communication. It demonstrates how militarism can be smuggled into the cultural bloodstream through humor and nostalgia, and how imagery that once guided children toward ethical understanding can be flipped to justify violence. In doing so, the piece raises an urgent question: When state power borrows the aesthetics of innocence, what happens to our capacity to recognize harm?
