Earthpod V

"Earthpod VII" explores the element of earth. The design work for this piece was created in layers - representing stones, sand, earth and metal, They comprise the interior and surface layers of Earth - layers that are in a constant state of transformation, most of which takes place beneath the surface, unseen and unnoticed.

The brass gilding in this piece is an alloy that will age over many years. The effect is intentional to reflect the natural cycles of nature.
