Painting Plein Air requires the painter to deal with some many variables such as - time of day, type/quality of light, clouds, wind, ease of set-up, and many more. This particular day, it was very windy at the beach and setting up on the beach in the open would have created an almost impossible painting environment. Luckily tucked behind the dunes, created enough shelter and had a pleasing view to create this watercolor. Most of the painting was completed on site but a very accents were completed in my studio.
