After an early morning thunderstorm, I woke to soft light creating colorful ribbons in the sky as the clouds softly dissipated. The thunderous tumult of the storm had passed, leaving the smell of ozone in cool air. I felt privileged to watch this sunrise remove the gloom of the night's storm and leave a few moments of peaceful energy in its wake. These moments of transition can be tricky to paint, but they are so worth the effort! Blink, and it's gone.
By the time I grabbed my iPad and took a photo out window, the color was already fading, but the memory remained.
