Artisans is a celebration of Huichola Indian cultural art and design. In the composition we see native artisans selling their wares in their decorative clothing and festive hats. They carry the rupupero (hat) made of palm and adorned with feathers, flowers, bark, thorns, stamens, all depending on what use they are going to give it. Males are the ones who wear the most decorative adornments. The woman dresses in a simpler fashion: A kutuni (short blouse to the waist), her ihui (skirt with waistband), where there are samples of Huichol art in a wide range of embroidery that combine with her ricuri, embroidered blanket with which she covers her head. Huichol clothing is defined as having magical meanings, thus, each embroidery and accessory is a protection. The composition is an exciting mixture of patterns that permeate the entire canvas. Each pattern competes with one another in a wonderful display of visual activity.
