Pastel on sanded rag matboard, of a view across the reservoir at Highland Park, Pittsburgh, which is a Victorian era urban park very popular with residents and visitors alike.
This was an overcast sky late in the day, and the reflections formed a soothing pattern in the water.
*It is currently on exhibit at the North Hills Art Center in Pittsburgh for the Pittsburgh Pastel Artists League Annual Members Exhibition and can be purchased through there until June 16, 2023.
This is one of my favorite parks in Pittsburgh. The scene inspired a mindfulness moment for me, a bit of calmness for during the pandemic.
