Titled "Fallingwater-Upper Level Roof", this Expressionist oil on canvas shows my love of architecture and how even the roof of this amazing house has surprising features like the greenery growing on it. Frank Lloyd Wright is one of my favorite architects, and the entire Fallingwater site near Pittsburgh is simply amazing to tour, especially in the fall!
I used a photo I took during a visit in the 1980's as my reference.
The painting is 8" H x 10" W x 1" D, and the antique wood frame is 1 1/2" W on each side. The frame is about 100+ years old, original finish with original gilding inside. There is a wire hanger, and is ready to display.
This painting was recently on exhibit at the Mr. Roboto Project in Pittsburgh, PA Oct.14-Dec.16, 2022 and can now be purchased here.
