Centering Myself, Outdoors collection
a collaboration with ClearWater Conservancy
Surrounding the historic homestead of Grange Fair founder Leonard Rhone, and the sculpture garden and arboretum added by Richard Morgan, lies the 150-acre farm property that Richard protected with ClearWater Conservancy in 1986. This was ClearWater’s first conservation easement.
Dr. Morgan’s vision for the land lives on through the volunteers that maintain Rhoneymeade and foster the connections between people, art, nature, and agriculture in this conserved historic rural landscape.
James Lesher led this Centred Outdoor hike around the farm’s periphery, to the meditative labyrinth in the woods, and back to the farmstead, where I focused on painting a portrait of the Rhoneymeade barn.
