Centering Myself, Outdoors collection
a collaboration with ClearWater Conservancy
Talleyrand Park wasn’t on this year’s Centred Outdoors schedule, but it was a featured destination from the past. So I painted this view of Spring Creek downstream from the bridge and falls while demonstrating my pastel painting at the Bellefonte Arts & Crafts Fair in front of Art a la Carte.
The reflections of the streamside willows in Spring Creek always attract my eye, especially when the sky is so blue and the sun is on its way down, throwing warm light onto the weeping fronds overhanging the water. I took the photo on a Sunday evening, while enjoying doo-wop by RamaLama in the Gazebo. It was a picture perfect ending to a summer weekend, singing along in our lawn chairs with Mom and Dad.
