The Standing Stone Trail was a new one for me. My husband Chris, friends Rose, Michael, Mia and their beagle Olive joined me on this strenuous climb. From Greenwood Furnace State Park we took a four-and-a-half mile hike up the Standing Stone Trail - a challenge for me even without my backpack full of art supplies! Our reward at the top was the clear vista back across Huntingdon County to Tussey Ridge.
As we rested at the rocky overlook, a cool breeze fluttered through the bright, spring green leaves. This was the moment I wanted to capture, as I stilled my mind and breathed in fresh air, engaging my senses to see, hear, and feel the beauty stretching
out before me.
