Centering Myself, Outdoors collection
a collaboration with ClearWater Conservancy
Although not on this season’s Centred Outdoors schedule, the confluence where Thompson Run joins Slab Cabin Run on its way to the main stem of Spring Creek is a place I often like to paint. Each new painting evokes a different mood, a changing season, a shift in colors, a distinct pattern of light.
ClearWater’s conservation easement on Millbrook Marsh was signed a few months into my job at the Conservancy and laid the foundation for protection of a rare species, enhanced groundwater recharge, bike trail connections, nature education, and many important community partnerships that make it all possible.
Collaboration has always been a hallmark of ClearWater’s successes, from its origin to a future promising exciting new possibilities.
This painting was the featured painting for the Bellefonte Art Museum for Centre County's Monet's Picnic event in August 2023.
