It’s about places we long for. The real ones, like quiet retreats in nature, but also imagined ones that offer freedom, joy, and a sense of ease. These spaces live somewhere between memory and possibility, and in this painting, one of them seems to lie just beyond the pink. That soft veil suggests a passage into something better, something still undefined.
The painting was created almost entirely with my hands; brushes or other tools were used only minimally. It bears clear traces of this process. Among the pink and rosé hues, I used an ivory white, which is unfortunately difficult to discern in the overall view pics; they don't do the work justice. The detailed shots show it more clearly.
