As it is Not in Itself

A collaboration between the artist Caspar Fairhall and students from Woodvale Primary School, this artwork is both a celebration of the rich history of typography and the manner in which type itself carries meaning.

In a series of creative workshops exploring the nature of type, students sculpted their own, personalised, letter forms. Each of these sculptures were subsequently transformed by the artist into the completed artwork through the use of photographic and digital imaging techniques.
