Limited Edition 1/5. I am always intrigued by the texture of tree bark. This series was inspired by a medallion-like outgrowth on a tree which looked rather like two heads whispering or kissing. This version places the highly textured rough bark on a pale lilac background with a tracery effect of gold showing through.

I was inspired to make this abstract piece by a medallion-like outgrowth on a tree which looked rather like two heads whispering or kissing. In this version - one of four pieces in a group - I placed the highly textured rough bark in multiple layers and sizes on the pale lilac background and used blend modes to produce a tracery effect of gold showing through. A magical tree with riches hidden within.
