"No More!" This painting was made in collaboration with lifelong friend Old Gnarly. It had been half a year since I had seen my friend, so we arranged to walk out into the woods, equipped with paints and brushes, and setup a makeshift art studio for the day near a sandy ravine. We crafted an easel out of old branches. We had snacks, water, beer, and music. The ravine by our feet picked up garbage, carelessly thrown to the ground by others. The garbage found its way onto this canvas. Some of the garbage included Cuban Pesos, Cigarette packs, an old vinyl record, and a smashed mirror. This complex piece was completed in only a couple of hours. If "The Return" is about looking forward and "TDCR" is about reflecting on the past, "No Mas" is about reconnecting with old friends in a familiar place.
