- Travel Through Time: Fossils from the Science Museum of Minnesota
MSP Terminal 1, Airport Mall Gallery
October 1, 2024 - October 1, 2025
This exhibit features rarely seen specimens from the Science Museum of Minnesota's collections vault, spanning nearly two billion years of ancient life. One display case features exclusively Minnesota's ancient denizens including the mammoth, scimitar-toothed cat, a massive crocodile, the Giant Beaver and the only two dinosaur bones found in our state. The other display case highlights three other parts of the country that were excavated by the museum over many years and highlighting three different periods in geologic time. This second case includes dinosaurs (with an actual T. rex toe bone!), crocodiles, salamanders and one of the weirdest reptiles to survive the mass extinction at the end of the Age of the Dinosaurs.
