This artwork is the next in my series of underwater inspired abstracts. When I painted this one, I was imagining floating with the current through the reef or more like 'over the reef' and looking down.
There are deep turquoise areas in the painting to represent deep crevices and sections of bright colour coral made up of light greens and purple. There are several aqua's used throughout the painting - from a deep green aqua through to a pale pastel teal. Big dabs of rich gold are sprinkled throughout the painting that contrast against the sections of australian yellow-green.
Other colours used throughout the artwork are a lilac, pale olive green, australian sky blue, deep yellow mixed with a turmeric coloured yellow, a light magenta pink (one of my favourites), rich australian sienna with gold, various greens and lots-lots more... please take the time to look at the closeups to see all the details!
This artwork has been painted to view horizontally but you can easily hang it vertically. It would suit someone who loves colour but perhaps not someone who wants an 'over the top' colour scheme. I am sure it would look amazing as a feature artwork in your home or office.

ABOUT THE PAINTINGS QUALITY:
The canvas is artist-grade gallery cotton with the following:

ONE LAST THING:
The placement of the painting in the interior image may not be 100% to scale, but it does look amazing doesn’t it!
