Summer is a time of endless greens in Vermont, punctuated by some yellows while the hay is drying or the goldenrod comes into bloom, but it can be difficult to find compositions that break up the expanse of green. Streams and bodies of water are a good source and a meandering stream from slightly above provides a solid compositional element. Add in the abstract patterns of a heard of black and white holstein cows and some trees for vertical height and you have a interesting quintessential Vermont farm scene.
