Nothing is quite so enticing on a summers day than a pool of fresh water. Whether dipping your feet to cool down, or just enjoying the smell of fresh water and enjoying the sound of it as it spills over rocks and logs, a summer stream always provides a nice respite. This large painting is an expanded view of the one before it which was painted in a small 8" x 6" format. This larger size, in addition to getting more of the scene onto the canvas, allows me to explore painting a greater amount of detail, especially in the rocks. I do love to get lots in the details of these pieces, and I hope they add interest throughout the painting.
