The Bellows Farm in Fairfax Vermont is iconic. Long an attraction for artists and photographers. From the front you get a nice collection of barn, outbuildings, silos and brick house, and the barn has the date, 1908, embedded in its slate roof. For this painting I moved to the northwest of the farm, since the setting sun would leave all of the front of the buildings in shadow. From this angle I caught the rising almost full moon and the light hitting the sides of the silos. The late sun really lights up the red brick of the house and cons=trasts nicely with the cool evening sky.
