Acadian Dreams is Part 1 of the trilogy, Catskill Song, illustrating the orogeny of the Catskill Mountains in New York. The painted outline shows the Acadian Mountains from the past looming over the present day Catskills and Taconic Mountains. These Mountains, 380 million years ago, were the height of the Himalayas. The Hudson River, the blue line between the two mountain silhouettes, carved a valley between the Taconic and the Catskill Mountains of today.
