Uraidla Hotel was built in 1867 and had successive owners before closing in 2012 to join a largely empty Main Street. Over the next few years the small population joined forces to ‘reimagine Uraidla’ and basing their inspiration on the UK’s ‘Pub is the hub’ movement, the pub was restarted. Today the town is flourishing; a bakery and brewery have joined the pub, the Main Street has been beautified and the shops tenanted.
The Uraidla Hotel prides itself on its local produce, eco-friendly practices and its history. It is not just the best pub in Uraidla, it is the only pub in Uraidla.
