Starforge
Sphere 2-22
22 × 22 × 22 cm
Basalt, agate, red jasper, quartzite, chert, gold gilt
Forged from the meeting of fire, stone, and light, Starforge embodies the alchemy of creation itself. Its dark volcanic surfaces hold the memory of molten origins, while agates and quartzite shimmer like captured constellations. Flecks of gold glint across the form — fragments of illumination caught within the ancient body of the earth.
This sculpture speaks of genesis and endurance: how stars and stones share the same elemental ancestry. Both are born from heat, pressure, and time, emerging from chaos into form. Starforge stands as a meditation on that shared lineage — a sphere where the terrestrial meets the celestial, and the story of the cosmos turns once more to stone.
Stone Map
⚫ Basalt – Volcanic and ancient, cooled from fire into permanence; the planet’s first architecture, symbol of strength and creation.
💎 Agate – Banded and translucent, the memory of flowing minerals within volcanic rock; a union of movement and stillness.
🔴 Red Jasper – Earth’s heartbeat, iron-rich and grounding; a stone of endurance and elemental power.
🤍 Quartzite – Once sand, now luminous stone; clarity and transformation made tangible.
🟤 Chert – Marine in origin, patient and layered; the quiet persistence of the geological past.
✨ Gold Gilt Flecks – Scattered like starlight across basaltic dark; symbols of illumination, linking creation below to the brilliance above.
